Your weather. Your choices.
Privacy policy
Climate uses your location to bring you a local forecast. Your saved places and preferences stay on your device.

Who operates Climate
Climate is a weather app developed by Rafael Rodrigues. This policy describes the app’s location use, on-device storage, notifications, and links to external services.
Location and weather requests
If you grant location permission, Climate uses your current coordinates while the app or an authorized widget or Watch complication is in use to request local weather from Apple WeatherKit and a place name from Apple’s mapping services. You can use approximate location, or deny location access and search for a city manually. City searches and the coordinates of saved places are sent to Apple to resolve locations and retrieve forecasts.
Climate does not operate a server that stores your location history, and does not sell location data or use it for advertising. Apple processes requests under its own privacy practices. Read Apple’s privacy policy.
What stays on your device
Saved city names and coordinates, downloaded forecasts, unit and wardrobe preferences, and reminder settings are stored in the app’s local storage. Current-location coordinates and forecasts are cached in an App Group shared by Climate and its weather widget on each device. The Watch app and its complication use a separate on-Watch cache. Unit preferences and a verified subscription product identifier, expiration date, and verification time are also stored locally; they are not sent to a Climate server. An on-device record of recently scheduled official alerts helps prevent repeated reminders and is pruned after 30 days. Device backups may include local app data under your Apple backup settings.
Subscriptions
Apple processes subscription purchases, renewals, refunds, and payments through the App Store. Climate uses StoreKit to verify active access on your device. We do not receive your payment card details and operate no purchase-validation server. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting Climate does not cancel a subscription.
Forecast reminders
Notifications are optional and scheduled on your device from weather downloaded when you open Climate. They are not a continuous background storm-monitoring service. No notification token is sent to a Climate server. Tapping an official weather alert opens the corresponding Apple alert details page.
No advertising or tracking
The app contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics SDK, or account registration. Climate’s developer does not receive your saved places or forecast history. Apple may provide App Store diagnostics and aggregate app analytics according to your device and account choices.
Your controls and deletion
Change location and notification access in your iPhone or Watch Settings at any time. Widget location authorization can be changed separately. Remove saved places inside Climate. Uninstalling Climate and its extensions removes their local data from that device; manage any retained device backups separately in your Apple settings. You do not need to create or delete a Climate account.
External pages
Opening Apple’s attribution or alert pages, or this policy page, makes a web request to the relevant provider. Hosting providers process ordinary connection information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure those pages. This policy page has no analytics scripts, advertising, or forms that collect location information.
Contact and support
For privacy questions, data requests, or help with Climate, email operations@digitaldesign.studio. If you email us, we receive the address and information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Please do not send precise location details unless they are needed to explain an issue.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its effective date when Climate’s data practices change. Any new permission will be requested in the app or through iOS.
